Prestressed Concrete

Description

A high-performance form of reinforced concrete where the internal steel tendons are tensioned before the concrete is loaded. This places the concrete under permanent compression, allowing it to support much greater loads and longer spans than traditional RCC. It is essential for modern bridge girders and large commercial floors.
